Maggots, 20 kg (B+FR)

The water-soluble granulate Maggots is a growth regulator for the control of fly larvae. It can be sprinkled directly on the manure, or sprayed or sprayed diluted with water. Maggots is suitable for use in a wide variety of situations, mainly in dairy and veal farms, sow and fattening pig houses, poultry houses, sheep and goat houses, horse houses, rubbish dumps and waste containers.

The active substance, Cyromazine, interferes with the insect's chitin metabolism. This leads to delayed larval growth, interrupts the molting process and prevents pupation. Treated larvae do not molt into the next stage and thus the cycle of the
flying is interrupted.

Instructions:

Maggots can be applied by dry spreading or by dissolving and applying by spraying or pouring. The application depends on the moisture content of the manure.

• • The product is applied by spreading dry on slats with wet manure such as pig and cattle manure. Sprinkle 250 grams homogeneously over 10 m².
  • Apply Maggots by spraying and spraying dry manure such as litter, dry poultry manure, etc. Dilute 250 grams in 1 - 4 liters of water to spray over 10 m² or dilute 250 grams in 10 liters of water to spread over 10 m² with a watering can.
  • The recommended treatment interval depends on management and housing systems and on the climate (temperature, humidity, etc). It can vary from 2-3 weeks to several months. The general recommendation is to repeat the treatment after every manure removal (deep litter) or after cleaning the house or when fly larvae are found.
  • Combine the use of maggots (larvicide) with an adult fly repellent such as Alphi and Sojet to ensure total fly control.
