Description

The coagulant Poly Aluminum Chloride Sachtoklar is a primary flocculant that is manufactured according to a special process. This flocculant is also referred to as polyaluminium chloride sulfate (PACS). The flocculant meets the requirements of EN 17034 for products for the purification of water for human consumption as type 1.

Scope of application:

PACS flocculant is used to treat drinking and industrial water, to purify waste water and to treat swimming pool water.

Dosage:

The flocculant is dosed undiluted. Due to the generally small dosing amount, it is a requirement that there is sufficient turbulence at the dosing point. When diluted, the product is not stable and precipitation may occur.

  • Waste water: 25 - 5000 g/m³
  • Drinking and process water: 5 - 50 g/m³

Technical features:

  • pH value: 2.6
  • Density: 1.21 kg/dm³
  • Al content (%): 5.4
  • Cl content (%): 9.3
  • SO4 content (%): 2.8
  • Basicity (%): 46

Packaging: 30 and 246 kg

Shelf life:

  • At least 12 months. Store at temperatures between 5°C and 25°C. An inspection of the tank and dosing installation must be done regularly. We recommend doing this on a quarterly basis. If necessary, clean the tank dosing system.
  • Acid and chloride resistant materials should be used when handling SACHTOKLAR® flocculant. General safety precautions for handling acids should also be observed. Slight clouding has no effect on the performance of the product. Irreversible crystallization can occur at temperatures below –12 °C.
